Today is the 1 year anniversary of the assassination of Ahmad Shah Masood AKA "the Lion of Panjshir". Masood was a major player in the Afghan anti-Soviet resistant as well as the leader of the Northern Alliance. He was murdered by al-Quida suicide bombers disguised as members of the international press. He survived the initial explosion but died from his wounds on the 9th. This is believed to be part 1 of the 9/11 plot because he was a key link in the chain that kept the Northern Alliance working together. He was one of the greatest military strategists of all time. He never gave up the Panjshir valley to the Soviets or the Taliban. 'Long Live Masood' was cheered in the streets of every city that was liberated from Taliban rule.
